This Master 2 graduate program in
Fundamental Microbiology is based on recent advances in genetics,
genomics, cell biology and microbial physiology to provide
multidisciplinary training in research and research. Microorganisms can
be studied by targeted, global and / or synthetic approaches on
molecular, cellular or integrated scales (microbial communities, host
organisms).
Microorganisms (bacteria, archaea, fungi, protists, viruses ...) are the main terrestrial biological entities in quantity and diversity and are at the heart of the main processes of the living. Fundamental Microbiology covers a wide range of topics focusing on microbial physiology & genetics, and evolution of microorganisms, with some openings on microbial pathogenesis and ecology. These questions are explored at the molecular, cellular or microbiota-type ecosystems, in order to understand and control the immense variety of microbial processes.
